  ## The first-run screen says what Bartleby actually does

  A copy fix, and one worth shipping on its own. The Full Disk Access screen — the
  first real thing a new user reads — described a property Bartleby no longer
  claims. It now says the true and more useful thing: Bartleby reads the Messages
  database and never writes to it.

  If you installed 0.1.0, the old download link now redirects here, so you cannot
  end up on the previous build by accident.

  ## Lists, themes, and a build you can actually install

  The first version of Bartleby you can hand to someone. It reads the Messages
  history already on your Mac, adds the triage workflow Messages has never had,
  and sends through Messages itself.

  **Triage without touching the mouse.** `J` and `K` move, `E` archives, `H`
  snoozes, `P` pins, `C` composes, and `Z` undoes whatever you just did — all
  unmodified, the way Superhuman does it. `Return` drops you into the composer on
  whichever conversation is selected. `?` shows the whole map, and `⌘K` opens a
  command palette that searches every thread when what you typed isn't a command.

  **Lists, so the inbox is organized the way you think.** Group people and
  conversations however you like, pin the lists to the left rail, and give each one
  its own icon. Nothing about this exists in Messages, and it is the difference
  between an inbox and a stream.

  **Snooze that actually wakes.** A snoozed conversation comes back at the time you
  chose — not the next time somebody happens to text you. This was broken until
  late in the cycle; nothing published at the due date, so snoozed threads simply
  vanished.

  **The awkward message types render.** Edited messages say they were edited.
  Shared locations appear as locations. Group events — people joining, leaving,
  renaming the thread — show up instead of silently vanishing. Tapbacks float the
  conversation and summarize in the preview the way Messages does, rather than
  arriving as their own message. Voice memos play in place. Invisible Ink stays
  hidden until you click it.

  * The window opens where you left it, at the size you left it.
  * Unknown numbers with unread texts get their own marker.
  * A thread from 2017 no longer floats to the top of the inbox because someone shared their location in it.
  * Signed with a Developer ID, notarized and stapled, so it opens without the right-click ritual.
